Job Description

High level expectations:

• Total experience of 12-15 years, with 5+ years in consulting/design/implementation of scaled, distributed cloud applications
• 4+ years of Cloud Native experience working with Containers/Microservices/Kubernetes etc
• Proven Cloud architecting experience for at least 3 organizations, including re-architecting applications for cloud migration
• The ideal candidate should be from an application background (developer in the early years)

Role Description:

• This position will be responsible for:
• Planning, engineering and executing migration of an existing application farm to a hybrid cloud, in a microservices environment
• Strategize cloud architecture and scalable solutions including choice of orchestration & container platforms
• Strong hands-on technical & architecture experience with cloud technologies, platforms: both Hybrid & Hosted Cloud services
• Partnering with LOB’s on implementation strategy and drive the adoption of the new environment

Must Have Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of cloud providers and virtualized infrastructure
• Migration of applications into a scaled, distributed/hybrid cloud
• Expertise in container orchestration tools like OpenShift, Kubernetes etc.
• Hands-on experience in DevOps toolchain - Jira/GitHub/Jenkins/Liquibase or equivalent
• Experience in infrastructure automation tools like Chef/Puppet/Ansible
• Excellent document production skills - design documents, architecture diagrams

Nice to have Skills:

• AWS Solution Architect, Professional Certification
• Experience with at least one cloud orchestration tool such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Experience architecting and designing cloud-native applications leveraging PaaS and/or serverless FaaS
